# Localization

Some Cornerstone API's support localization of the values in the request and response fields. To determine the locale, such APIs use the language preference of the user account associated with the registered OAuth 2.0 application. More specifically, the APIs use the value selected in the 'Display Language' field in the user record of the user associated with the OAuth 2.0 application. If no value is selected in this field, the APIs use English (US) as the default language. For more information on localization rules, please refer to the specific API documentation.
